I don't know about you, but I Google myself on a regular basis. This is not intended to massage my ego, but to see what is ranking at the top of Google's search results when I type in my name, and therefore what potential clients would find if they did the same. Of course, it helps if you not only have an unusual name (according to Google, I seem to be the only Beverley Glick on the … [Read more...] about Google yourself. You never know what you might find…
My Personal Stories
Remnants of a life well lived
It was the sofas that got me. Pink velour, now more dusty than dusky - a matching pair, stuffed with memories of days spent drinking, chatting and laughing with my mum in her flat in Amersham, and for many years before that in her bungalow in Mumbles, Swansea. I wouldn’t usually watch a stand-up set on TV (I prefer the … [Read more...] about The raw power of sharing the truth of your story
Take a dive into the pool of vulnerability
Today I am feeling vulnerable. I’m probably about four years old and in need of a hug. Tearful. Feeling sensitive. Wondering whether I should even be writing this. Far better to hide under a duvet with a cuddly duck. Or at least wait until I feel like a competent adult again. What has triggered this? Sharing the deepest purpose behind the work I do on my About Me page. And then being quizzed … [Read more...] about Take a dive into the pool of vulnerability
