If you’ve come across my website for the first time, you may be wondering why I haven’t posted a blog since March 2025. Well, the reason is that, in the spring of last year, I decided to create a new Substack newsletter, Rewind & Reveal, where I started sharing episodes of my memoir Hit Girl: My Bizarre Double Life in the Pop World of the Eighties.
As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, I wrote the memoir more than 20 years ago and found myself an agent, but they were unfortunately unable to find me a publisher. So I put it back into a drawer and forgot all about it until I started seeing more and more journalists starting Substacks and wondered if it might be the right platform for me to share my stories.
Since then, I’ve shared more than 50 episodes, which you can find and read at beverleyglick.substack.com. I don’t charge for subscriptions but it would be great if you could support my work by becomng a subscriber.
Here are some teasers for earlier episodes. I’ve really enjoyed becoming a ‘digital Dickens’ and interacting with my readers. You can’t do that in a paperback!
