If it’s not already happening in a green space near you, then soon enough leaves will be unfurling everywhere.

The leaf instinctively knows how, and when, to unfold. That’s the beauty of nature. If only human beings had the same instinct. If only we knew how, and when, we were absolutely ready to take action or move to the next stage of our development.

Instead we rush into things, believing that making an effort is enough to achieve the best results. Because we are rarely present, we find it hard to tune into our inner knowing and the precise energy of the moment.

If we were attuned within and without, we wouldn’t need to worry about timing. Of course, it’s important to prepare, to put in the groundwork. The leaf would not be able to unfurl had the plant not been properly watered, protected and cared for, or if it had not been growing in fertile soil.

We’ve prepared. We’ve done the work. We’ve done it to the best of our ability. We’ve been as authentic as possible. Now we need to let go of the attachment to the outcome.

Will we know when to unfurl? Trust the process – nature does.
